Zoom Community Calls

Low-vision and blind people from all across the nation are getting acquainted and sharing information through the Zoom Meeting app. You do not need a computer and Internet to join a call--just a phone. The American Council of the Blind hosts over 60 calls a week on topics like Assistive Technoloyg, travel skils, cooking, job hunting, recreation, health, and much more. All ages are welcome!

Leadership and Legislative Seminars

Next year, both the Washingtonn Council of the Blind and the American Council of the Blind will hold virtual workshops--very affordable and informative. This is a great way to learn to adovocate and do it in numbers!

F.O.O.D.

Stands for: Fun, Opportunity, Outreach, and Dining! After CoVid, we hope to restart our F.O.O.D. social time so we can provide large-print and braille menus to area restaurants. Join us for a good time and help raise awareness in the community.

Puget Sound Braille Challenge and Student Summit

Our state organization is like a big family and busy making good stuff happen. Once a year WCB hosts a braille challenge to encourage literacy and a summit to bring high school age kids together.
